The Internet has had many transformations over several decades. It has been one of the fastest growing technologies on the planet. It has gone from connecting just two computers to billions over high speed cables and wires. I love that the Internet is like a window to another world. It allows people to use a myriad of programs and communicate with family, friends, and even strangers. It truly connects people from all over the world and gives them access to information they couldn’t even dream of. I now can learn much than I ever thought possible because of this technology. This makes the Internet, in my opinion, a wonderful invention, and my favorite overall.
I find that if I had to go for free to any country, I would have to go to India. This is because if I were to go to the US, I would need a lot of money. Also, I do not know other countries in the world. Thus, with all my dullness, all I would get is India. Of course, I would need my savings to survive. I would also need a house to live in and friends to work with. I have traveled widely across India, however, I would choose to live in Pune, which is where I was born. The main reason for this choice is knowledge. I know this city much more than any other city in India. I could work here. I could buy things cheaply. I could live with a nice wife and I could make friends. I could survive.
If the worlds were to end in one hour and I was in no position to alter the course, I would pray. I would call all my friends and call a gathering to pray for our souls to die in peace and thank God for giving us as much of life as He could. I would meditate with my friends and silently give in to the forces that were to control us. I would embrace them whenever I felt the presence of fear and I would light candles. I would write prayers and I would say prayers. I would contact a priest to see if he could guide our last prayers. I would get flowers. I would get perfume and incense. I would dance for the last time with my friends and I would hug them to control the tears.
I suppose I would like to be governor, although I’m not sure what kind of job I’d do. I suppose the main thing I’d try to change would be the treatment of same sex couples and their legal status. I would make marriage rights equal across the board, allow adoption by same sex families, and generally try to ensure that we undergo a societal change into a more accepting, open community. I would also set up a series of laws putting law abiding immigrants on the road to citizenship and ensuring legal residency for children brought into the country illegally. I don’t understand economic issues, but I’d hire someone who was good at math to fix the budget.
So if I get to know that the earth is going to end in next one hour, this one hour at least I would like to spend with my little daughter. I wish to give her what are all things I have made for her these many days. Getting to know both of us are going to stay in this world for another one hour, I wish I could see before I close my eyes she is sitting next to me in live condition. That is the demand of my motherhood from this earth.
Living on earth means do something on your own so that your next generation will not curse you in the future. Sometimes I think in the name of civilization we are cutting down trees we are making roads, highways, constructing multi storied buildings and all. But we as human beings never think about what will be its impact on us what we are keeping for our future generation. Living on earth does not mean spoiling nature. We very often forget that we do not inherit earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our kids. Hence, I have tried to store energy for my next generation and made a solar plant in my home. For me living on earth means do something which can offer a better place for our kids. I have done it for my kid and would love to inspire others as well.
